Logan’s Superhero Birthday Celebration!

November 7, 2019

I was wrecking my brain going back and forth trying to choose a birthday theme and I gave up and went with a regular birthday theme. haha I decided to just get colored balloons and banners and all colored candy and at the very end I bought a Spiderman pinata.  We had given Logan a collection of superhero characters for his birthday which we used as his cake topper.  So in the end we ended up having a superhero themed birthday party! He loved it!

I used Wegman’s Catering and it was so easy and affordable! I definitely will be using them again.  We had a party of about 25 including kids and we bought the “Sub lovers lunch party” and added the Mediterranean medley platter.  We also ordered pizza for the kids.

Ok and now for the cake. I always make Logan’s birthday cake and this year with the move, I couldn’t find my cake molding pans and ended up buying two cakes and stacking them to create a tiered cake.  I bought the cakes at Wegman’s as well, they had a large cake and a petite version.    I added sprinkles to the top of the cake and decorated with superhero characters.

The happy birthday inflatable banner is from party city.  It’s easy to inflate just use the straw that is provided in the package.

Games for the kids:

Spiderman pinata – We bought the pull string pinata to release the candy but decided it wasn’t as fun as wacking at the pinata.  I mean am I right or am I right? haha Note: if you have a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds you might have a bit of chaos trying to organize who gets to wack at the pinata. I would recommend lining the kids up in order to take a turn.   Also no need to use a blind fold for 4 and 5 year olds their lack of coordination makes it difficult as it is. 🙂

Pin the tale on the donkey – So fun this one went pretty smoothly I suppose because the rule was youngest to oldest take a turn. Blind fold required. 😉

Freeze dance  – OMG the best just ask Alexa to play the “Freeze Dance Song” and there you have it a freeze dance that kids will play along to.  You can probably use any song the kids like but I loved how the  “Freeze Dance Song” had someone directing along.

I’ve linked the products I used at the bottom of this post.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to comment below! Have a great day! 😉
