Vermont Ski Trip
We have planned this ski trip for over a month and I was so psyched to finally go skiing. We decided that I would take a class and Adam would teach Logan. I highly recommend a class if you are a beginner, it helped me so much and I felt confident right after the class. I was so cautious and nervous that I was going to go off a cliff or cause a massive pileup, which was ridiculous, looking back. It’s so funny… I pretty much have the mind set that I can do anything with a little practice. Ha! Maybe more than just a little practice. 😉 Well… I was definitely determined. I must have fallen at least 50,000 times and by the end of the day my butt felt it. 🙂
I was prepared for a very cold day. Underneath my ski pants, I wore long wool ski socks, fleece lined leggings and a fleece lined top. I also put hand warmers in my gloves which worked wonders. I bought my ski goggles from Amazon and ski gloves from Marshall’s… such good deals and it was not necessary to spend 10x at a ski shop. Did I mention how much I love that the gloves had a little pocket to put hand warmers in? The moon boots are my new favorite snow boots. They are so warm and cozy and a total must have to take around when you are lounging around or sipping your hot coco. I wore a puffer coat and it was perfect, I never felt cold or too hot. This one is water resistant and definitely did the trick.
We stayed with friends at their new vacation home. Their house was absolutely beautiful and they have transformed it into the perfect vacation home. These two would give Chip and Joanne a run for their money. 😉 The whole ski community was so beautiful and friendly and we can’t wait to go back! xoxo
